Chris Hart – Owner & Head Instructor:

Chris brings more than 20 years of leadership, instruction, and operational experience to Hart Divers International. A U.S. Navy Veteran with a background in expeditionary amphibious warfare, Chris has trained and led Sailors and Marines in some of the most demanding environments in the world.

After his Navy career, Chris built on that foundation by earning advanced training and instructor certifications from multiple training agencies, including SDI, TDI, PADI, and Global Underwater Explorers (GUE). He has taught students from beginner to professional level and has certified divers in specialties ranging from deep, wreck, and dry suit diving to advanced technical skills.

 

His qualifications include:
 

• GUE Cave 1, Cave 2, and Tech 1 diver

• Master Scuba Diver Trainer with multiple specialty ratings 

• Emergency First Response and Divers Alert Network Instructor in CPR, Oxygen Administration, and First Aid

• Certified Fill Station Operator and Equipment Service Technician

Chris holds a Master’s degree in Integrated Marketing Communications from West Virginia University and is an experienced public affairs executive. This combination of military precision, academic discipline, and professional communications expertise makes him uniquely qualified to teach diving at the highest level. Students trust him not only for his technical knowledge but for his ability to explain complex skills clearly, build confidence in the water, and deliver training that goes beyond the minimum.

Dr. Jamie Hart – Science & Conservation Advisor:

Jamie Hart, MSc, DVM, brings a scientific and medical lens to Hart Divers International. With degrees in Veterinary Medicine, Environmental Science, and Marine Biology, Jamie connects diving to a deeper understanding of marine ecosystems. Her expertise enriches our programs by weaving together hands-on adventure with conservation and environmental awareness.
